Jay Sonza on PNP's Patrol Cars: "Nakakasuka Noon. Nakakatuwa Ngayon."

Veteran writer, broadcaster and former TV host, Mr. Jay Sonza once again was fearless to speak his mind as he took to social media and described the difference between Former President Noynoy Aquino's administration vs the present administration of President Duterte in terms of Philippine National Police's (PNP) Patrol cars.


On his recent Facebook post, Sonza recounted that during Noynoy Aquino's term and Former Secretary Mar Roxas, Mahindra Jeeps were brought for the police that cost billions of pesos and was said to have been overpriced.

Likewise, Sonza compared that now, in President Duterte's administration, Japan and Korea gave the PNP free Pajeros and Elantra cars and specified that all of those are free valued billions of pesos.


The veteran broadcaster then ended his post by denoting that it's really better and happier now in President Rodrigo Duterte's time.

****This statement of Mr. Jay Sonza came after it was reported that South Korean government on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, donated 130 patrol vehicles to the PNP that includes 49 units of Hyundai Elantra and 81 units of Hyundai Starex van.

Korean Ambassador H.E Han Dong-Man and Commissioner General of Korea National Police Agency Lee Chul-Sung were present amid the turnover.


Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said the patrol vehicles will be disseminated to the Directorate for Investigation and Detection Management, Crim!nal Investigation and Detective Group, Anti-K!dn@pping Group, Anti-Cyb3rcr!me Group, and National Capital Region Police.

The PNP chief included that some of the patrol cars will also be distributed to the City Police Offices of Angeles, Cebu, Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, Davao and Baguio to reinforce anti-crim!n@lity and police visibility endeavors where Korean communities are built up.


Likewise, General Albayalde pronounced that the vehicles will be used to improve anti-crim!n@lity and crim!n@l investigation efforts of the PNP.

Consequently, General Albayalde said that the Korean government is looking for the arrangement of cr!m3s involving its citizens, the ongoing instances of which were accounted for in Cebu and Caloocan cities and assured them that the PNP will do everything to solve those cases.


Further, Gen. Albayalde guaranteed the Korean government that they will take care of the vehicles they bestowed to the PNP.


We assured them that we will do everything to solve these cases and of course, we assured them that we will take care of the equipment that they donated to us,” ended General Albayalde.
